Job description

Pocket Media is looking for a Business Development Manager to join a team that is dedicated to help international brands and agencies with their mobile (performance) marketing challenges. In this role you will be responsible for the expansion of Pocket Media’s client portfolio which includes companies such as Bol.com, Hunkemoller and Mobext.

The ideal candidate has a track record in digital Advertising, with a high level of enthusiasm to generate a robust pipeline of prospects. You will implement best practices and processes to accelerate our sales and revenue growth. You will work closely with our management in Amsterdam on all aspects of planning, strategy and development. Traveling to international conventions and trade shows will be part of the job!

Main responsibilities

  • Drive sales and generate new business from agencies and brands
  • Sell mobile marketing solutions like video, display and rich media
  • Prospect new customers via face-to-face, telephone, email and Linkedin
  • Attend industry events and networking functions in order to uncover new clients
  • Identify new opportunities and revenue streams for the business

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A relevant Bachelor or Master degree
  • A minimum of 4+ years’ experience in Business Development in Digital advertising
  • Experience in Mobile advertising a plus
  • Have a strong network of decision makers in the Mobile / E-commerce space (brands or agencies)
  • The ability to build and manage strong relationships with clients
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in Dutch & English, German is a plus
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Flexible in working hours due to the international environment

To be a good fit for our team you will have an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy working closely with others. It is expected that you will have an in depth understanding of the Mobile Media industry and have a passion for advertising.
